Home Tour: Part 5, The Playroom
So I've been giving an online tour of our new home, but I've been billowy around from room to room, with no particular guild. Why? I dunno. Mainly considering I don't have the boys' rooms finished yet, and our living room still has baby article of furniture in it, so I wouldn't exactly call those rooms "Pin" worthy. Haha!
So… hither nosotros become with "Role 5, The Playroom."
If you've missed the other rooms on the tour so far, you lot tin can see those here:

The Playroom
I was so tired of seeing toy later toy, scattered all effectually our living room on a daily ground, that I told my husband, "When we build the new firm, we GOTTA have an area where those toys can stay in one place, all of the time, because if I step on ane more train, I'1000 going to go batty."
And then the hubs pulled through!
Our finished basement is where we decided the playroom should have a habitation. We planned information technology to where it would exist in an open up area, next to the living expanse in the basement. This way, when our adult friends bring their kiddos over, nosotros can sit in the living surface area, and overlook the playroom where our kiddos are playing. The kids can take their own infinite, and we adults can have our ain space, but nevertheless be in the same room so we tin can brand certain one child doesn't put ane in a "choke concord," or an "arm bar." {Lamentable, that's the UFC coming out in me.}
I admire the white and gray chevron ottomans, that I found at Kohls. Kids can throw them effectually, wrestle with them, and they serve as another place to sit down when we have a large group over. These are a must for any playroom!
We just now got our "easel" out of storage, and you would have thought it was Christmas. My oldest little guy was so excited! This easel has a dry erase board, and a chalk board on the opposite side, so he can draw and color on it, likewise every bit practice his words with his letter magnets. I do love "all-in-one" toys.
Alright my friends. If y'all listen to ANYTHING I say, please delight please, heed to me when I say this…
Our train table has been the BEST, I mean, BEST purchase we take ever made for our playroom. My oldest is OBSESSED with trains, and this train tabular array has provided hours and hours of entertainment. He will go downstairs, and be down there for hours in a solar day, playing with this. He'due south still as well young to put the tracks together any way he wants, so I exercise spend some time rebuilding the track for him when he "takes it apart," but it is so worth it!
We bought ours at Toys R The states, for his altogether, and it was money WELL spent! When we go on holiday, by day 2 he'south begging to get home to play with his train tabular array.
I gotta give a "shout out" to a friend of mine for this toy shelf organizer. I posted on Facebook one day that I was looking for used toys and playroom items. She mentioned that she had this toy organizer, and I jumped on it. Information technology works perfect for all of those small toy items that are always strung out everywhere!
But do you seriously believe it always looks this make clean and organized? If then, I have some oceanfront belongings in Arizona that I desire to sell to yous. 😉
I scored this trivial canvas wall fine art collection at Domicile Goods, and knew it would go perfect in a playroom! Plus, it's a train, and well we know how my son feels about trains.
I recall showcasing a child's art is and so of import. I desire my kiddos to know that I LOVE seeing what they made for their mommy and daddy. But my refrigerator tin can only hold so much. So, the fine art gallery was born. 🙂
I just bought mini wearing apparel pins, grabbed some bakers twine & ribbon, and attached it to the wall using control strips. {P.S. Command Strips are the bomb. Practise people yet say that?}
This adorable rocking horse was my husbands when he was trivial. My blood brother in law, refinished it, and made it await like new once more, and gave it to us as a gift. So sweet, and the kids love it!
We Just got this over the door basketball game goal for Christmas from family! I Honey this idea. I was thinking of getting a basketball game goal for the boys, just was looking at one that sits on the floor, but so glad I didn't! This manner it saves floor space, and it works awesome!
The piffling dark-brown table and chairs is i of my favorite items in the playroom. The kids can practice art projects, or take a picnic at this picayune fix, and it's fantastic. It's sooo cute likewise! I love miniature furniture that looks like "Mommy and Daddy's" furniture.
I'm currently working on the "man cave," for the playroom. It will take a reading area with more miniature furniture, and it will exist the ultimate hiding spot for the kiddos.
There's our playroom! Thank you for coming by and checking it out!
